Network connection with the NDR-HA4416 digital recorder - RASPlus
Foreword
The H series digital recorder is distinguished by very advanced user functions of the RASplus freeware. The application allows for effective network management of a dispersed CCTV system with numerous devices. Such functions as live monitoring, search of recordings, remote configuration of DVRs are available (for safety reasons the option of altering DVR settings through the network has been blocked). Software password system and DVR password system limits the access of unauthorized parties.
Software installation
Minimum hardware and system requirements necessary for installing the software and for its proper operation are as follows:

Note: If any previous version of the RASplus software had been
installed on a given computer, it should be uninstalled prior to
installing a new version.
To start the installation process, the RASPlus software should be downloaded and saved on the disk.
Installation will begin after clicking twice on the software icon.
For proper operation of the software, XHTML should be enabled (XHTML
parser 4.0 is imbedded in the installation file). After the
installation process is finished, a message indicating the possibility
of XHTML Parser installation is shown.
The RASplus software is enabled by an shortcut icon on the desktop or in the menu.
After a while, software window will appear on the screen.
With first-time launch of the application, the layout of application
panels will be default. During software operation, the layout of the
application panels can be adjusted to one's own requirements.
Login procedure is not required with the first-time software launch.
The optimal resolution is 1024x768 and 24 bit color depth.
In case the software detects incompatible settings, an appropriate information will be displayed.
Configuring DVR connection
In order to reach the system settings menu, go to System->Setup. This menu item contains 5 tabs that define the program settings.
Choose the Remote Sites tab
The notion "Site" denotes a network-connected DVR with a particular name and network parameters (address, ports etc).
Once the Remote Sites tab is selected, the following menu appears:
In the part to the left, a list of site groups is located.
The default group is RemoteSites.
In the part to the right, a list of sites within a particular group is located.
To add a group or site, press the Add button.
In the Reference group menu - select the option Remote Sites.
· in the Remote Site Setup - section site parameters are defined.
Site Name - type in any site name, for ex. NOVUS Demo
IP Address - type in 94.42.84.76
Port... - select the default option (8200, 8016, 10019)
Use Modem - deselected
Use DVRNS - deselected
In the Login Setup section - type in the following parameters:
User name: user
Password: 1111
Without password - deselected
Once the configuration is completed, in order to establish
connection, the desired recorder should be found in the site panel.
Click on its name with the right or left mouse button and, with
the button pressed, drag the name over the camera image section and
"drop" it onto one of camera windows - live connection (Watch)
with the desired DVR will be established.
